Child Development Center (CDC)

Family of Christ Child Development Center offers full-time child care from 7:00am to 6:00pm for children ages 18 months through five years old. Our Preschool/VPK Program has both full-time and part-time classes. We also offer an After School Care program that is available for Family of Christ Christian School students as well as students from surrounding elementary schools. Our After School Care program has a bus that transports students from Chiles, and Tampa Palms Elementary Schools to Family of Christ.

Child Development Center Philosophy Statement

Family of Christ Child Development Center’s philosophy is to foster a Christ-centered educational environment in which children are provided the highest quality of Christian education. The curriculum provides a solid emphasis on academic skills, balanced with Christian teaching of Biblical truths and how they apply to everyday living. Academic and enrichment programs are planned for the child’s academic, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical growth while also focusing on the importance of “play” during these developmental years. The entire program offers many opportunities for the child to observe the miracle of God’s wonderful world.

Full-Time Child Care

At Family of Christ, we offer full time care from 7am-6pm for ages 18 months to 5 years old.


Each child learns at their own pace and our classrooms are set up for children to learn and explore through different centers, whole group instruction and small group instruction. Our curriculum allows for children to learn through circle time, interactive play, arts and crafts, music, outdoor time, and Chapel. Our staff differentiates learning for each child allowing them to be set up for success!

VPK: Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten

At Family of Christ, we offer full time VPK classes (7am-6pm) or part time classes for VPK  with an option for Enrichment classes from 1pm-3pm for our part time students. Students must be the age of 4 years old by September 1st. Our VPK students learn through play, whole group instruction, and small group instruction. Teachers differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students to prepare them for kindergarten. Students explore Christian Character traits through daily Bible lessons, weekly Chapel lessons with the Pastor, and music class.


Part-Time Preschool

Part-time preschool is for children at the age of 3 years old by September 1st and that are fully potty trained. Classes are from 8am-1pm, Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

Enrichment Classes for VPK ONLY

We have approved outside vendors and certified teachers that come to Family of Christ and offer a variety of enriching activities throughout the week for our VPK students from 1-3pm.

Summer Camp 2024

Hours of K-8 Summer Camp: 8:00 a.m. -4 p.m.

  • FEES   
  • 5 days: $224 weekly    
  • 3 days: $174  weekly
  • 2 days: $142   weekly
  • $65 Registration Fee (this includes a camp shirt)
  • Lunch is not included in camp fees. 


Hours of Preschool Summer Camp: 8:30am-12:30pm

  • FEES
  • MWF $88 weekly 
  • M-F $115 weekly
  • $30 Registration Fee
  • Lunch is not included in camp fees.
